How to Give Back this Holiday Season

This holiday season has reminded us how lucky we are. Giving back during the holidays is one of the most meaningful ways to feel connected to your community and those around you. If you are able to spare a few dollars or time, please consider the organizations below who work hard to make sure everyone feels loved this holiday season.

  • No Kid Hungry
    • According to recent survey, 13 million children live in “food insecure” homes in the US. Volunteer, donate, or shop with brands that work with No Kid Hungry this holiday season.
  • Big Sunday: The Holiday List
    • Big Sunday puts together a comprehensive list of all the ways you can help out this holiday season. They operate under the mission that there is always somebody who could use your help. Devoting some time to volunteering this holiday season (in a safe way) can be a great help to your community
  • Toy Drives
    • Donating to local toy drives is a great way to incorporate young ones in giving back. It can be as easy as shopping with your family and picking up an extra toy to donate to those who may not get a gift this year.
  • Holidays from the Heart with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
    • Holidays from the Heart gives back to families most in need of support this holiday season. They accept monetary donations, in-kind gifts, and even the sponsorship of families!
  • The Giving Spirit-Winter Outreach
    • The Giving Spirit organizes kits to be distributed among the homeless population in LA. This winter, they are looking for monetary and kit donations to support their mission.
  • Union Station Homeless Services
    • Union Station Homeless Services is collecting gifts for 400 children this holiday season. While their gift drive is closed, they are still collecting donations!
